
KuboFit
Fitness & Lifestyle Group’s (FLG) flagship app to inform its members of class timetables and to cross promote all of its other gyms’ offerings.

CHALLENGE
iOS only app. Project was brought in-house for improvement without having to re-design from scratch. Design interaction limited by built-in app structure. Too many carousels built on multiple layers of navigation. No content prioritisation, all cards within carousels looked the same. Too many cards per carousel. Too many steps to onboarding
OUTCOME
Successfully redesigned and launched KuboFit for Apple from scratch in 6 months. See screenshots above or you can download the app from App Store or www.kubofit.com
PROCESS
Scope, plan and propose solutions with product owner, dev teams and other designers on ways to improve both native apps.
Create prototypes to test, validate ideas and design high fidelity UI components
Conduct workshops and brainstorms with stakeholders and team
Implement Kubofit product branding into design system according to Apple User Interface and Google Material design systems
BONUS
During the interview process, one of the requirements were to design KuboFit with minimal requirement given, to showcase candidate’s creativity in designing a group class search and landing screen. I chose to design in dark mode to showcase ‘coolness’ in being part of FLG’s group of gyms. See screenshots below.
